In 2025, Australia’s longest running and largest national day of environmental action, Clean Up Australia Day,

will celebrate 35 years of bringing local communities together to Clean Up and help to improve and conserve our environment. To commemorate this milestone, Clean Up Australia is calling on all Aussies to register for the 2025 event which will be held on Sunday 2 March and join their local communities in making this year the biggest one yet.

Mayor Kathy Duff and Councillors have arranged an event for the Hivesville community with a collection of general waste and green waste to assist the community after recent flooding events.

Hivesville residents are encouraged to take part by placing all items they wish to dispose of using the collection service on the kerbside in front of their properties ready for Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday 2 March 2025. Hivesville residents are asked to contact Mayor Duff on 0437 020 705 to register their participation in the event.

If you would like to get involved in a Clean Up Australia Day event, there is still time to register a site by going to www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au, but you do need to hurry.

Alternatively, you could join an already registered site and go along on the day to help them clean up that area.

On behalf of every Australian, thank you to those who will be participating in the National Clean Up Australia Day campaign.
