Animals

Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008

  • All animals must be suitably contained and under the effective control of someone at all times when the animal is in a public place.
  • All animal waste must be collected and disposed of in a sanitary way.
  • Dogs must be microchipped and currently registered.
  • Dogs are prohibited within 4m of any Council playground area, barbeque or physical exercise equipment.

 

Designated camp areas

  • Camping must be within the designated camp area (as set out on this sign) and not around any amenities or picnic shelter, or on any shrubbery or plant.
  •  A person must not drive at a speed over 20 kilometres per hour.
  • The use of a motorised generator is prohibited after 9:00pm or before 7:00am on any day.
  • Household furniture and white goods are prohibited on the camp area.
  •  Space in each camp area site is limited to 1 vehicle and 1 trailer per site. 

Disposal of liquid waste

  • Disposal of liquid waste is prohibited other than at a suitable designated dump point provided for that purpose.
  • Liquid waste must not to be dumped at amenities, including dumping waste from any caravan cassette into any toilet.
  • Nappies, disposable wipes, clothing, hygiene products and hard waste must not be disposed of at any dump point or toilet facility

 

Drones and Surveillance Systems

  • The use of a drone is prohibited.
  • The use of non-authorised surveillance equipment is prohibited.

Fires

  • Lighting a fire is prohibited, other than in a designated fire pit of Council.
  •  Observe all fire danger ratings on the South Burnett Regional Council Disaster Dashboard.

Mowing and maintenance

  • Damaging or interfering with any vegetation, for example, cutting, trimming, pruning or removing of any tree or tree limb, is prohibited.
  • If requested by a Council representative, belongings must be relocated to another section of the camp area to enable mowing, whipper snipping and maintenance to be carried out safely.

Personal Belongings

It is recommended that belongings and vehicles are locked and secured at all times.

 

Plants

  • Propagating or cultivating any plant or vegetation (including garden pots, shrubs and flowers) is prohibited.

Power and Charging of Devices

  • If a power point is available in a public area and not locked, phones/devices may be charged at this power point. No other powered devices are permitted.
  • The safety and security of devices whilst charging is the responsibility of the owner of the device.
  • Be courteous and mindful of others wanting to use the power source.
  • Council representatives and cleaners may disconnect chargers if required to carry out Council works. 

Visual amenity

  • All areas must always be kept in a clean, tidy and sanitary condition.
  • No clothing / washing may be placed on any equipment or fencing at any camp area or playground.

Waste

All waste must be disposed of in a bin or waste container provided for that purpose. If the bins are full, ensure waste is disposed of appropriately.
