Impacts to the environment may include damage or loss of flora and fauna, poor air quality, reduced water quality, land degradation and contamination, or damage to heritage listed places.

Environmental Recovery focuses on rectifying the impacts on the natural environment as a direct result of a disaster or through a secondar impact or consequence.
