South Burnett Regional Council advises that works are currently planned to upgrade drainage on Finnemores Road, Moondooner. Works are planned to start on Monday 14 July 2025 and is anticipated to take 4-5 weeks to complete, wet weather and machinery permitting. The outcome of the project is to provide resilience and safety during and post flood events.
The project is funded between South Burnett Regional Council and the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements which is a jointly funded program between the Australian and Queensland Governments.
In order to safely complete these works, it is necessary to close vehicular access on a section of Finnemores Road and detouring via Moondooner Road, Bunya Highway and Kilcoy Murgon Road.
Below is a map of the closure extents.
Detour signage will be in place prior to the commencement of works.
