South Burnett Regional Council advises the new Transfer Station at Maidenwell is now operational. The old site is scheduled to close on Friday 16 January 2026, with the bins being removed.
As the new facility requires an access card for entry and exit of the facility, we would like to remind members of the public that require access and live within the approved areas to apply for an access card. Please contact Council to obtain an application form.
Those who live outside of the approved areas that wish to use the facility can apply and the application will be assessed on a case by case basis.
