WATER & WASTEWATER OPERATORS ASSISTANT (KINGAROY)

$67K - $74K per annum + Allowances + Super
Council is seeking a team member to assist with the operation, maintenance, construction and repair of water & wastewater infrastructure, including but not limited to treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations & reticulation networks. This position will assist with the monitoring & analysis of treatment process parameters, including chemical dosing & water/ effluent quality. The successful applicant will have previous experience operating water & wastewater treatment systems, pump stations, distribution systems & equipment, as well as analytical skills to measure, record and collect water samples in accordance with legislative & industry standards.
*Please note role requires availability for rostered weekend work and call-out provisions*
MANDATORY:
• Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence
• General Safety Induction for Construction Worker Certification (White Card)
• Certificate III in Water & Wastewater (Treatment) or other equivalent field (desirable)
• Trade qualification (Fitter, Plumbing) (desirable)
