PLANT OPERATOR SLASHER (WONDAI)

Permanent Full Time

$67K - $69K per annum + Allowances + Super

Council is seeking a motivated and capable team member to join our Works team. This position is responsible for operating plant and equipment while assisting with the day-to-day slashing operations across Council’s road network. The role involves high-quality operation of slashers and associated machinery to complete roadside slashing on both rural and main roads. The successful applicant will demonstrate substantial experience in the safe and effective operation of machinery related to roadside slashing and weed spraying, with the ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance on plant and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator who takes pride in their work, values safety, and enjoys contributing to the upkeep and presentation of the community’s road network. Please note participation in after hours and weekend work is a requirement of this position

MANDATORY:

  • Minimum requirement of a current C Class drivers licence
  • General Safety Induction for Construction Worker (White Card)

DESIRABLE:

  • MR Truck Licence, plant tickets/certifications, Traffic Controller Licence
  • Agricultural Chemical Distribution & Control Licence (ACDC) or Australian ChemCert Licence
