South Burnett Regional Council advises dog registration renewals will be issued on Tuesday 28 October 2025.
Residents are advised the current registration renewal period is from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026, with payment due on Tuesday 9 December 2025.
If your dog has an outstanding fee from the 2023/2024 or 2024/2025 renewal period, you will notice that this has been included in the total amount due and is required to be paid along with the new fee.
Council has introduced the option for dog owners in the South Burnett to choose between a one (1) year registration, or a three (3) year registration. Your dog/s must be desexed to be eligible for a three (3) year registration. If you would like to change to a three (3) year registration, please complete the change of details on the back of your renewal notice and return to Council on or before 25 November 2025.
Please contact Council to make payment or update any details, including change of ownership, if you have moved out of the area or if your dog has sadly passed away.
Please note under the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008 Section 54 it is the animal owner’s responsibility to notify Council within seven (7) days of any changed information. Penalties apply for failing to update details.
