LABOURER PARKS (BLACKBUTT)

Permanent Full Time

$61K - $63K per annum + Allowances + Super

Council is seeking an energetic and motivated labourer to support the effective delivery of daily operations across Council’s parks, landscapes, and open spaces. This role contributes to various initiatives and programs aligned with community expectations and industry standards, and also assists with Natural Resource Management programs as needed. The position involves a range of general horticultural and labouring duties, including maintaining landscapes through mowing, planting, and weeding of gardens, applying weed control measures, watering, and undertaking maintenance of irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in general labouring tasks related to the maintenance of parks and gardens, along with demonstrated ability in the use and upkeep of horticultural machinery and equipment.

MANDATORY:

• Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence

• General Safety Induction for Construction Work Cert (White Card)

DESIRABLE:

• Certificate III in Horticulture

• Plaground Inspection Certificate

• MR Truck Drivers Licence

• Commercial Operators Licence (Unrestricted)
