Kingaroy Memorial Park & WJ Lang Memorial Pool Master Plan

Kingaroy Memorial Park and the WJ Lang Memorial Pool are much-loved, and highly valued spaces for the South Burnett community, and key features of our region’s social and economic profile.

The park and swimming pool offer a diversity of opportunities for play, active recreation, aquatic activities, exercise, picnicking, passive recreation, community events and remembrance.

South Burnett Regional Council has been working on a Master Plan to guide future development and redevelopment of the park and pool. Otium Planning Group were engaged to lead a team of specialist landscape and aquatic consultants to develop the Master Plan.

The draft Master Plan is now available and has been developed following extensive research and engagement with the community and key stakeholders. It identifies how Memorial Park and the WJ Lang Memorial Pool should look and function in the future and supports Council’s commitment to enhancing the liveability and lifestyle of our region, providing key community infrastructure, growing our economy and prosperity, and safeguarding the environment for future generations.

The Master Plan features a range of improvements to ensure Memorial Park and the WJ Lang Memorial Pool can continue to develop as high-quality recreation spaces for our region for many years to come.
