Notice of Works - Water Bore Flow Testing Barkers Creek/Meandu Creek Flats

Council will continue bore flow testing on the Barkers Creek/Meandu Creek flats west of Nanango commencing Tuesday 31 July.

This project is necessary to ensure the adequacy of water supply to the pumping systems, that will provide sustainable drinking water supply to the Nanango township. The bore test will not impact on the current water supply to Nanango.

Works will include a 100 hr pump test on the last of the three (3) bores, following two (2) earlier tests. This bore water flow will be directed to Barkers and Meandu Creeks. Neighbouring farmers have declined any beneficial use of this water. Works are required at this time of year when water supply-demand is lower.
