Mayor Congratulates and Welcomes New Councillor

The new Councillor for Division One of the South Burnett Regional Council, Jane Erkens, was officially signed in today at a ceremony at the South Burnett Council Chambers in Kingaroy.
The Declaration of Office was presided over by the CEO, Mark Pitt.
The result of the by-election for Division One based in Nanango was officially advised by the Queensland Electoral Commissioner Pat Vidgen this morning.
“Councillor Erkens has made a wonderful contribution to her community over the past four decades. Jane has a close connection with the people and I'm sure she will make an exceptional Councillor,” said Mayor Otto.
