KTP Update – Week Commencing Monday 21 June 2021

Back

South Burnett Regional Council advises of continued Kingaroy Transformation Project (KTP) works from Monday 21 June 2021.

Parking on Alford Street along the side of Kingaroy Shoppingworld will reopen upon completion of earthworks in early July 2021.

Closure of Glendon Street between the roundabout and the Circular Place carpark exit will continue to allow for the installation of underground communication and electrical infrastructure, stormwater infrastructure and kerb, channel and footpath reinstatement.

From Monday 28 June 2021, the Glendon Street access to the laneway adjacent to Circular Place carpark will be closed for 1 week to allow for installation of underground infrastructure and driveway replacement. The Glendon Street roundabout and Circular Place carpark will remain open.

Footpath reinstatement will also occur from Monday 28 June 2021 along Youngman Street, from the Alford Street intersection to the exit of the Kingaroy Shoppingworld carpark.

Water main replacement works are planned to commence in late June 2021 on Haly Street under night works between 6pm to 6am, subject to final approvals.

Pedestrian access to all shops will remain open at all times. Council strongly encourages the community to support the local businesses impacted by these works. The Project Team will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to proactively mitigate the effects on parking as much as possible.

Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.

Please direct all enquiries and concerns to the Kingaroy Transformation Project team on 1300 789 279, 4189 9100 or email ktp@sbrc.qld.gov.au.
