Works update - Roy Emerson carpark upgrade
South Burnett Regional Council advises that due to contractor availability, upgrades to the Roy Emerson carpark located on the corner of Douglas and Morris Streets Blackbutt,
scheduled to commence on Tuesday 4 May, will now commence the week beginning Monday 24 May 2021. Works are anticipated to be completed in approximately 2-3 weeks, conditions and external constraints permitting.
Works are funded through Council’s 2020/21 Capital Upgrade Works programme and includes excavation, pavement work, bitumen seal and line marking.
To provide a safe work environment, the work areas will be controlled by signage or with traffic controllers as required. It is expected that the carpark will not be closed during any key events in the area. Local access to properties within the work area will be permitted, however some delays may occur.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the patience of businesses and the community while works are in progress.
