Have Your Say - Blackbutt Town Redevelopment

Back

At the Ordinary meeting of Council on Wednesday 28 April 2021, South Burnett Regional Council will review different options of draft plans for the proposed Blackbutt town redevelopment.

These draft plans will be released to the community for further feedback and consultation. The South Burnett community, especially Blackbutt and surrounds, is highly encouraged to participate in the planning process of the Blackbutt town redevelopment.

Mayor Brett Otto said these consultations are the community’s opportunity to have their say and create a sustainable future for Blackbutt.

“The South Burnett community knows what they want for their region and Council wants to provide this to its residents, businesses and visitors. Council sees this as an opportunity to advance the town of Blackbutt for a sustainable future, and enhance its potential for industry growth, investment and tourism as a regional Queensland town,” said Mayor Otto.

The Blackbutt town redevelopment plan options are available here for review on Council’s website and at Council’s Customer Service Centres.

Please email your preference out of the listed options for Blackbutt's proposed new town layout to Council’s Executive Services team to info@sbrc.qld.gov.au.
