KTP Update – Monday 15 March 2021

Back

South Burnett Regional Council advises the continued Kingaroy Transformation Project (KTP) works along Alford Street, between Youngman and Kingaroy Street.

Replacement of stormwater infrastructure, kerb and channel, along with the Telstra Pits and installation of communication infrastructure will continue on Monday, 15 March and continue throughout the month.

Removal of redundant street lighting and vegetation around the Glendon St Roundabout will also occur during this period.

Water Main replacement works will continue near the Kingaroy St intersection and undertaken at night, where safe to do so. To minimise impacts on the community and businesses, road closures will be kept to a minimum during this time.

Selective parking closures will continue along both sides of Alford Street, allowing for storm water and communication works to progress. The Project Team will continue to work closely with the construction team to coordinate activities to manage effects on parking and transport.

Pedestrian access to businesses will remain open at all times. During the construction period, Council strongly encourages the community to support those businesses impacted by the works.

Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.

Please direct all enquiries and concerns to the Kingaroy Transformation Project team on 4189 9100 or email the KTP team
