Reflect. Respect. Celebrate Australia Day in the South Burnett
Australia Day 2021 is a valuable day for reflection and to honour, recognise and celebrate outstanding contributions within the South Burnett community.
This past year our nation has faced fire, flood, drought and the coronavirus pandemic.
We’re all part of the story of this nation we call home and South Burnett Regional Council will take this occasion to recognise our community members who excel in their chosen field or that go the extra mile to help others.
Mayor Otto said “Australia Day is also an opportunity to showcase what’s great about the South Burnett and to remember how fortunate we are to celebrate being Australian together.”

Australia Day Awards Ceremony
When: Sunday 24 January 2021* Where: Wondai Town Hall
*The Awards Ceremony will commence at 12 noon, by invitation only due to COVID-19 restrictions but live entertainment and a sausage sizzle will be provided for the public at the conclusion of the ceremony from 2:00 - 3:00pm outside the hall.
