Changes and reopening of Council services and facilities

Subject to the latest State and Federal Government advice, Council’s focus is to ensure services and programs are provided as safely, effectively and reliably as possible.

Please find below list of Council services and facilities currently impacted by COVID-19 Queensland Health directives, as well as those reopening in the South Burnett region (subject to conditions and user limits).

  • 48 hour stop overs – reopening 12 June 2020 excluding (Stuart River Rest area – closed due to capital works upgrade)

Customer Service / Facilities Customer Service Centres open EFTPOS payments are preferred.
Galleries & Museums Closed until further notice
Halls & cultural centres Closed until further notice

Please note: The current Queensland Chief Health Officer Movement and Gathering Direction states a maximum of 20 people can gather publically outdoors regardless of whether people are members of the
same household or not.

Council is also mindful of the need to be extremely cautious in ensuing all appropriate safety measures and operational procedures are in place to protect our patrons/staff from the potential spread of COVID-19 prior to re-opening. As such, Council is working to implement the appropriate COVID safe arrangements as a matter or priority.

South Burnett Regional Council reminds residents to follow the Queensland Government messaging: If you are sick, stay home; if you're feeling unwell with symptoms of COVID-19, you should contact your doctor about being tested; practice social distancing; continue good hygiene practices.
