Queensland Return to Play – South Burnett urged to prepare

Back

The Queensland Government is actively encouraging sporting organisations to get ready for the potential re-start of sports activities through the State’s ‘Queensland Return to Play’ initiative.

The Queensland Government has developed a Return to Play guide and checklist to assist individuals, organisations and clubs to understand and prepare for the proposed relaxation of restrictions.

Currently, under Stage 1 of the Roadmap, there’s minimal informal, unorganised physical activity that is able to be conducted. Moving into Stage 2 there’ll be further relaxations to allow more people and formal non-contact community sports to occur and finally, in Stage 3 (currently envisaged to be from 10 July) contact sports will be permitted with a further increase in the amount of people able to be involved, including spectators.

Anyone involved in sport, recreation and fitness activities is urged to visit the following sites for further information:

South Burnett Regional Council reminds residents to follow the Queensland Government messaging: If you are sick, stay home; if you're feeling unwell with symptoms of COVID-19, you should contact your doctor about being tested; practice social distancing; continue good hygiene practices.
