Dog Off-leash Areas

Please remember to be considerate of others when walking or exercising your dog, and remember that owners are responsible for the actions and behaviour of their dogs at all times.

When walking your dog, be prepared to pick up after your pet. Council provides dog tidy bags and general refuse disposal bins at the dog off-leash areas and major parks throughout the region.

Dog leash requirements

Dogs must be leashed at all times outside your property, except when in designated off-leash areas. Fines apply.

Designated off-leash areas

The following areas have been allocated for the exercising of dogs off a leash, providing they are kept under strict control.

Kingaroy off-leash area

• Memorial Park, Kingaroy (located behind the Kingaroy Swimming Pool). Fully fenced, dog waste bag dispenser, doggy water fountain

Nanango off-leash area

• cnr Drayton Street and Mt Stanley Road, Nanango. Fully fenced, dog waste bag dispenser
