How many bins can be collected?

Services are tailored to suit individual business needs. Refuse collection service charges are included on the bi annual rates notice. The current financial year costs are available at any Council Service Centre.

To commence or alter a service, complete an application form - available on Council’s website or from the Kingaroy Service Centre. When submitting an application, please specify a reasonable time frame for new services to commence. Collection services operate Monday through to Saturday.

Bin Ownership

It is the business owner’s responsibility to provide and maintain wheelie bins and skip bins. The bins remain the property of the business owner.

Council sell new wheelie bins and also have some good quality second hand skip bins available most of the time. Current costs can be obtained from any Council Service Centre. Skip prices depend upon the condition of the bin. All bins purchased from Council are delivered to the business address free of charge.

Council has design plans for 2.0m³ skip bins available on request. Council will provide a copy of design plans free of charge to enable skip bins to be fabricated by suitability qualified tradesmen. Council may, at its discretion, organise fabrication of a new skip to meet individual requirements.

Repairs to Bins

Lids, pins, wheels and axles for wheelie bins can be repaired or replaced by Council for a small fee. Council do have some skip bin lids for sale at cost price, but do not generally undertake other general repairs to skip bins. This work should be undertaken by suitability qualified tradesmen.

Casual Refuse Services

Council provides casual or additional refuse services as required. Arrangements can be made through the Kingaroy Service Centre. Application forms and current fees are available from any Council Service Centre or on its website.

Monthly Tipping Accounts

Tipping fees are charged at the Kingaroy Transfer Station/Landfill. Business may arrange a monthly account by completing an application form, available from the Kingaroy Service Centre or on Council’s website.

Each visit to the landfill is recorded and an invoice will be issued at the end of each month. Vehicle registration numbers are recorded in case of disputes.

Bin Hire

Council have a variety of bins available for short term hire (generally 2 weeks). Application forms and hire costs are available from any Council Service Centre or here.

Council offers long term hire of 10.0m³ bins to business owners who are generating more waste than is economically viable through the 2.0m³ skip bin service.
