Public Consultation for the proposed South Burnett Regional Council Planning Scheme closed on 31 October 2016 after a 13 week consultation period.
During the public consultation period Council received a total of nineteen (19) submissions.
Council now has the task of assessing each submission individually, identify key issues raised and make the necessary recommendations to Council.
Council may make changes to the proposed Planning Scheme to address the issues raised in the submissions or to correct a drafting error.
Should Council choose to amend the proposed Planning Scheme it needs to seek approval from the Minister to adopt the Planning Scheme.
