08/11/19 Upgrade of Murgon Golf Course Reservoir

As a part of Council’s 2019/20 capital works program and commitment to ensure the long term sustainability and efficiency of our water infrastructure, Council has engaged Water Infrastructure Services to undertake the upgrade of the Murgon Golf Course Reservoir.

Works are currently underway for the electrical and structural works, with internal valve replacements expected to commence the week beginning 18 November 2019.  It is anticipated that upgrades to the reservoir will be complete by Friday, 22 November 2019, weather permitting.

Purpose of this work is to improve the structural integrity and ongoing operation of the reservoir. The isolation for the internal valve replacement will interrupt supply to nearby customers that rely on the reservoir for service supply and pressure.

Earlier preparation works will be required in some areas to improve the systems valves and to minimise interruptions to supply. Affected properties will be notified directly prior to these works occurring.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this work may cause and thank you in advance for your patience.

For further information please contact Council’s Water and Wastewater section on 4189 9100 or email Council.
