Media Release - Notice of Works Water Bore Flow Testing - Barkers Creek/Meandu Creek Flats
Council will begin bore flow testing on the Barkers Creek/Meandu Creek flats west of Nanango commencing Tuesday 17 July.
This project is necessary to ensure the adequacy of water supply to the pumping systems, that will provide sustainable drinking water supply to the Nanango Township. The bore test will not impact on the current water supply to Nanango.
Works will include a 100 hr pump test of each of the three (3) bores. This bore water flow will be directed to Barkers and Meandu Creeks. Neighbouring farmers have declined any beneficial use of this water. Works are required at this time of year when water supply demand is lower.
Should you have any queries during this test period, please contact Council’s Customer Contact Centres on 4189 9100.
