Children Crossing Upgrade & Concrete Footpaths
Council has programmed to commence the children’s crossing upgrade and rehabilitation works in Kent Street, Wondai, adjacent to the Wondai State School between McCord Street and South Street in the week commencing Monday 15 January 2018.
This project will include upgrading the existing children’s crossing, new concrete footpaths and signage. These works are being undertaken to provide a safer school environment and to reduce ongoing maintenance. It’s expected the work will be completed in February 2018 weather permitting.
During construction signage will be in place to restrict some parking and pedestrian movements with minor disruption anticipated.
At times local residents may not be able to access their properties when the immediate works are at their driveways. When accesses are to be affected the onsite supervisor will discuss with the affected resident.
For local residents with concerns during the construction period please contact the onsite supervisor or contact Council's Customer Service Centres on 4189 9100.
We thank you for your patience.
