Join us: Study Tour to the Noosa Farmers’ Market and Farmer & Sun Gympie
Business South Burnett invites food growers, producers and manufacturers to participate in a Study Tour to the Noosa Farmers’ Market, and Farmer & Sun Gympie on Sunday 2 June.
Participants will experience a highly successful slow food market, which attracts up to 10,000 visitors weekly.
The Study Tour will provide a fantastic opportunity to hear from Shane Stanley, who will discuss how to get products into the exclusive Sunshine Coast market. We will also hear from the Waugh family who will explain how they successfully transitioned from farmers to retail/café operators. They Waugh family will also showcase their own food and other local produce.
“The future of food within the South Burnett is an exciting one. This trip will create a great environment to begin collaboration and food trail discussions amongst the South Burnett food network,” Mayor Keith Campbell said.
The team at Business South Burnett invite you to join our Road Trip conversation topic: ‘Building the South Burnett as a food destination’. The bus will leave Hidden Gold Homestead at 4:40am, departing Gympie at 2.30pm.
The study tour is free. All meals and other purchases will be at the expense of the participant.
To book your seat please contact Council’s Economic Development Officer on 4189 9100 or email@example.com by midday Wednesday 29 May.
