Cr Kathy Duff

Cr Duff lives on the family property “Di Di” Station that was selected in 1916 by her Grandfather John Patrick Duff whoImage also served as a Councillor.  A strong family history of supporting our region, Cr Duff’s brother was also a Councillor on the former Wondai Council.  Cr Duff runs her own cattle grazing and timber business.  She has a keen interest in the equine industry including judging horses at local Shows as well as pursuing her hobby as a Silversmith when she can find time.  Cr Duff is involved in numerous community organisations and in 2019 at the Local Government Conference in Cairns she received the prestigious Peak Services Butch Lenton Award for her work helping to rebuild the town of Proston.

Cr Duff is honoured to have been elected to serve her fourth term in Council.  She believes that the South Burnett is a dynamic region with huge opportunities for growth.  Councillor for Division 5, Cr Duff is keen to support existing businesses but also to attract new industries and growth for the region.  Cr Duff is passionate about everyone working together as a region but she is also keen to ensure that individual towns, small villages and rural communities all get a strong voice across the Council table.

Cr Duff is the portfolio representative for Rural Resilience and Disaster Recovery, Parks & Gardens, Property & Facility Management and First Nations Affairs.
