"In designing this Logo consideration was given to the vital and growing effects the sun has on all aspects of a healthy and prosperous life. Here, it is represented in a loose design by the Swirl in traditional sun yellow colour. Under the swirl are two stripes. The red stripe represents the earth of the South Burnett, while the green represents the foliage and crops that make the region so famous and bountiful."
Colourful flowers, wildlife, nature walks, open spaces, play facilities, recreation and fitness facilities, barbecue facilities - these and many other features make up the many wonderful parks and gardens available for all to use in the South Burnett region.
Many requests are received each year from residents for use of the parks for weddings and other party type functions. Council welcomes this usage and suggests that you contact Council officers to advise them of your proposed usage. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve spaces in the parks because of their extensive use. All uses are on a first come, first served basis.
Parks and Gardens and roadside rest area maintenance is the responsibility of Council's Lifestyle & Culture Department. You can contact them about any issues relating to parks, gardens or roadside rest areas by phoning your local Council Customer Service Centre.
Maintenance of public conveniences and waste collection is the responsibility of Council's Sustainability Department. You can contact them about any issue relating to public conveniences or park waste collection by phoning your local Council Customer Service Centre.
